Feb 20th, 2008 Jay Witherbee Announces Candidacy Seeks Office of Chelan County Commission, District 3 Chelan, February 20, 200: Jay Witherbee of Chelan announced today (Wed) his candidacy for Chelan County Commission, District 3. Witherbee, a Republican, is seeking the position currently held by incumbent Commissioner Buell Hawkins who has announced his intention to retire when his current term expires at the end of 2008.
